these4walls was started when four
people working across the communications industry met in a pub in Fleet
Street. Astonished that no-one had established a group in which people from
different marketing and communications disciplines could meet, they decided
to set up their own. |
| |
these4walls was set up with the view
that the walls communications diciplines build between each other are often
not reflected in the realities of what practitioners themselves are seeking
to do for clients or their companies. It is important that advertisers understand
PR, that media buyers understand design and that new media professionals
understand direct marketing. There is no means for this to happen. |
| |
It is our belief that the communications
industry will have to work more and more closely within its constituent
parts to succeed in the future and these4walls has a role to play in enabling
greater understanding amongst people working in these worlds. |
| |
these4walls began as a monthly meeting
of its members, and these events still continue. However, as it has grown
– t4w has now got nearly 2,000 members – it has developed new
services to help its membership in their day-to-day working lives. |
